Position Description:
This position’s main duty is to make sure that the company’s revenue is converted into cash by choosing the proper credit limits and collecting accounts receivable. The Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for monitoring the credit and collection operations and ensuring that they are carried out in a manner that both complies with applicable laws and corporate policy. This position additionally offers assistance and training to pertinent teams. The manager establishes continuous relationships with high-value customers and sales organizations and conducts financial evaluations of customers to determine credit limits and risk ratings. The function also includes timely payment collection and dispute resolution when problems arise that hinder customers from making payments.
Responsibilities:
- To allow customers to purchase above their credit limit, haggle down payments with customers and company sales representatives.
- Determine the best communication channel to use to facilitate payment by analyzing and researching the accounts of customers with past-due receivables.
- Negotiate with clients to receive payment for past-due invoices and settle issues over customer payments.
- Identify patterns of non-payment, and then work with internal partners to resolve problems.
- To ensure adequate follow-up and resolution for the business and the consumer, start the dispute resolution process with internal business partners.
- Analyze at-risk clients and suggest account measures to avoid late payments.
Required Education and Experience:
- It is advised to have a first-level university degree with a business or economics concentration, or similar experience.
- Normally, no more than two years of relevant experience.
Information and abilities:
- Possess effective negotiation, dispute resolution, and writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Mastery of accounting fundamentals.
- Possess effective problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge about computers.
- Basic knowledge of priorities.
- Know the company’s order management procedure inside and out.
- Knowledge of the company’s dispute resolution procedure.
- Basic knowledge of financial concepts and collecting procedures.
- Simple influence techniques.
