Responsibilities and Role:

• You will have the chance to work on all phases of product development (Design/ Development, Test and Support) across core Systems technologies, such as Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, and Cloud Software, as a Software Engineer at IBM India Systems Development Lab (IBM ISDL). At ISDL, I develop software.
• You will be concentrated on the creation of IBM Systems products, interacting with teams responsible for product development and management as well as end users from various geographies.
• Throughout the whole product development life cycle, you would examine the needs of the product, choose the optimal design approach, implement/code the solution, and test. The Validation and Support of IBM Systems products could also be worked on.
• You will have the opportunity to work with dynamic, culture-driven, and technically talented teams to develop world-class products and deployment environments that will provide our clients with an unmatched user experience.

Technical and professional expertise is required:

1. Strong systems programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, ReactJS, and Groovy
2. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating system ideas (Unix/Linux internals)
3. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies including Kubernetes, Dockers, Microservices Architecture, and Red Hat OpenShift.
4. To work effectively in a global team context, one needs good communication skills.
5. A graduate or undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline

Technical and professional expertise that is preferred:

Knowledge of the following topics is preferred: OpenStack, Security, Virtualization Management, Cloud principles, REST API, JSON, App Development on Cloud Platform, DevOps Web UI Frameworks: Vaadin and React JS, and UI styling libraries like Bootstrap/Material.
Working knowledge of Node JS, Java, Javascript, Ansible, databases, SQL, and J2EE in Addition to an understanding of the GraphQL API, J2EE, JSP, RESTful web services, and J2EE.

Demonstrates interpersonal skills while supporting the team’s efforts by achieving necessary results.
