TS TET 2023: Qualifications

The following basic requirements are required of candidates at the time of application for the TS-TET for the categories of I to V classes (Paper-I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II), respectively.

Minimum academic requirements for TS TET Paper 1 (Classes 1–5):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of the required marks. However, the minimal score for those who are SC/ ST/ BC/Differently Abled is 45%. AND succeed in the 2-year Elementary Education Diploma, 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed. ), or 2-year Special Education Diploma. OR
Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or an equivalent degree) with at least 45% of the recommended grade. For applicants who are SC/ ST/ BC/Differently Abled, the minimum mark is 40%. AND complete a two-year diploma in elementary education, a four-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed. ), or a two-year diploma in education (special education) if the candidate had already completed or been admitted to a course in D.El.Ed. or D.Ed. previous to the publication of these rules (23-12-2015).
A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of the required marks; however, for applicants who are SC/ST/BC/differently abled, the minimum mark requirement is 45% AND they must also pass the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Education (Special Education) exams.

Minimum academic requirements for TS TET Paper 2 (Classes 6–8):

(i) a B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. with at least 50% of the grade. The minimum score for those who are SC/ ST/ BC/Differently Abled is 45%. AND successfully complete the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed-Special Education) programme. OR

(ii) a B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. with a minimum grade of 50%. Candidates who are SC, ST, BC, or have other disabilities must earn a minimum of 40%. AND be admitted to or have completed the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed – Special Education) in the case of candidates who did so previous to the publication of these guidelines (23 December 2015).

(iii) 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. with at least 50% marks; for applicants who are SC, ST, BC, or have other disabilities, the minimum mark requirement is 45%. OR

(iv) a Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent), a Master’s Degree in Literature, a Postgraduate Degree in the Language in Question, and a Certificate of Language Pandit Training or a Bachelor of Education
with the Language in Question as One of the Methodologies in the Case of Language Teachers. OR (v) B.E./B.Tech with at least 50% of the required marks and passed or are pursuing a B.Ed. or B.Ed. (Special Education) degree. For candidates who are SC/ST/BC/have different abilities, the minimum mark requirement is 45%.

TS TET 2023 – Maximum Age:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old when they apply to take the TS TET 2023 Exam. However, the official notification makes no reference of the maximum age.

Fee Information for TSTET Application Form 2023:
